This is my hubby's 3rd Deployment but they don't get any easier if anything it gets harder! the first one i had no kids the second one we had Esmeralda she was 1 so she doesn't really remember and this one we have 3 kids and it has been so hard to see Esmeralda cry herself to sleep, and to see Jesus look for papi and say papa and the only thing i can offer him is a recorded lullaby and a pic. which is not enough. and on top of having them try to adjust to a new baby brother they are struggling without daddy. :( the day after he left was our 7th year anniversary! i think we have spent 2 out of the 7 together, the way i see it is every day can be celebrated as an anniversary :)
The monkey in the pictures is the monkey we sent with him so that he could take everywhere with him and the kids could see the monkey in pictures and see how papi is thinking of us :)
Because my hubby will be missing out on a year of seeing his kids grow i will try very hard to keep my blog better updated for him to be able to log on and see them grow and see what we are doing. I cant make any promises because believe me i have my hands full with the 3 kids, and the lack of sleep is not helping. But i will try :)
WE love you papa, come home safe, you are our hero!!!

Deployment
4Meet Xavier
1Xavier Eduardo Medrano
was born on may 28th 2011, at 5:47pm
i was 39weeks pregnant this has been my longest pregnancy as a matter of fact I'm sure it would have been longer had the doctors not thought it best to induce me. It was a long morning at the hospital and we had a small moment were we got scared because Xavier's heart rate went down but after they put me on oxygen everything went back to normal, :) after they finally started the induction it all went pretty fast well a little to fast to be exact. As i was getting ready to push like the nurse instructed me to do, she then went on to tell me to not push and she started yelling for the doctor and from one second to the next he just came out the nurse ended up delivering him another nurse came to help (she didn't even have gloves) it all happened so fast. Here are some of his first pics :)

35 weeks pregnant
3I am now officially 35 weeks pregnant and as some of you may know i never make it to my 40 weeks pregnant. My water breaks before i can get to 40 weeks, with both times breaking at 2 in the morning. With Esmeralda my water broke at 35 weeks 5days so they called it 36 weeks, she was 6lbs 12 oz with Jesus it broke at 38 weeks 2days, he was 6lbs 15.4oz. this time for sure i wont make it past 39 weeks my doctor has told me he wont let me go further than that due to Gestational diabetes so the longest ill be pregnant is 39 weeks but i'm wondering if my water will break before that... I would love to hear your votes on when you think i'll go into labor leave a comment =)
Terrific twos!!
3we have not been experiencing the normal terrible twos around here we actually call it terrific twos!! Jesus Has been doing so much in this month that it seems like he was waiting to turn two to show us all that he can do! we are so proud of him and so thrilled!!! here are some of the things he is up to :) He started hippo therapy a week after he turned two he doesn't really enjoy the helmet but as soon as he sits on the horse he forgets all about it and enjoys the ride. Hippo therapy has been the best thing ever it helps him so much more than i thought it would! we love it!!!
we are able to let him sit on a chair or on his own without worrying to much of him getting hurt. it used to be that as soon as we would sit him he would throw himself backwards and end up hurting himself if someone was not there to catch him now however he is more aware of his body and where he is in space that he will try to go forward to get out of sitting, and this has helped him know he can get himself into sitting he hasn't done it often but we know he can do it :)
i don't have a picture of this next one but he is now clapping!! yay! He will not do it unless he wants to however if he is in the mood he can now play patty cake with us :) He is also choosing to watch tv in other positions other than laying down on his back on the floor.
Another amazing accomplishment is that he is crawling on hands and knees :) and pulling to stand when he feels confidant :) but he can do it all on his own! He still has times when he feels more confty army crawling or scooting on his back but just the fact that he is crawling at times is amazing he will come and pull to stand on the couch for me to pick him up its just so amazing how much he is doing!
here he is on his knees getting ready to pull up :)
now he is standing
Jesus has sensory processing disorder and with his low vision it used to make it harder for him to want to touch things with his hands i think that is why he wouldn't crawl with hands and knees because he would always have his hands into fist. it used to be that he would not want to touch anything or move fast, or do anything that was out of his comfort zone however recently that has changed and now he is what his OT describes as sensory seeking child. he loves tight hugs and deep pressure we do joint compressions and brush therapy and swinging really high to feel wind in his face, playing with anything that is put in front of him.
hope you enjoyed his accomplishments as much as we do :)

growing up
6Jesus has been doing a lot of growing up. He loves to travel through the house he will not stay still which is great (kinda). He is now doing a low crawl with elbows and knees, we are still working on hands and knees but its hard because he doesn't like touching the floor he will close his hands while he crawls. Another new thing he does is he can pull himself from the position of knees to standing he still doesn't know how to get to his knees but that's ok we are getting there. He is starting to enjoy eating instead of it being a thing he is forced into, granted he only eats cold sweets but he is eating He likes yogurt, ice cream, jello, and ice. he will now get a smile when i ask him if he wants to eat were as before he would complain and cry after a spoon or two. when i try sneaking other types of food into his diet he will look at the spoon and if its something he doesn't recognize he will not open his mouth, he has also smiled and pushed the spoon away like if he is saying "silly mom I'm not eating that"
He really enjoys pinching necks i don't know why but he does this kinda soft pinch on anyone who is holding him sometimes he does it to himself. When its time for bed time he likes to clamp his feed cord to make the machine beep so that i have to come back into his room and he will smile at me with such a big smile its hard to be mad at him, he will do it over and over and over until he is too tired to play this game, or until i turn off the pump and turn it back on once he is asleep.
Another one of his favorite past times is to make mommy stand up with him and make the fan spin, and spin, and spin. here he is asking for more spin.
And this is the smile i get after i make it spin :) so how can i not make the fan spin for him.
opening and closing things is a big one around our house i will often find all my kitchen doors open or the doors in closets because i have the habit of not closing doors all the way which allows little hands to come and open and close those doors or open them and crawl away to another door,or drawer.

Esmeralda has also been doing a lot of growing up she has been in preschool since December, and this month we had our first parent teacher conference. Her teacher said everything a parent wants to hear she said Esmeralda is out going, responsible, very talkative, is friends with all the kids and has been known to help out (without being asked to) some of the special need kids. She came home the other day almost in tears, happy tears because she said she was very proud of her friend for walking to her teacher in line like the rest of them. :) And at that moment i just couldn't help but be proud of her!
For valentines we made cupcakes and had lots of fun eating them:)

My baby bump has grown i fell like a big marshmallow i cant imagine how much bigger i will get ;) I went to an ultrasound yesterday and they said that my boy was growing the way he should be he is weighing at 2.2lbs and his heart does not present any abnormalities. Esmeralda got to go with me and she had a good time seeing her brother and saying how she cant wait for him to be born and how now she has 2 brothers. She wanted a girl but when she found out i was having a boy she took it really well the only thing she has mentioned is "if you wish for a girl you get a boy and if you wish for a boy you get a girl" silly girl :)
although this month has been fun and full of lots of activities and laughter and a lot of mommy time with Jesus and Esmeralda. We can all say that we cant wait for Monday when Daddy gets home from a whole month of being gone. :) He is getting ready for deployment in the next 3 months! we hope that those months that he is here don't go as fast as this one did.
